Art for Anxiety Relief (AFAR) is a six-week support programme that runs for one hour a week utilising art as a tool to help manage your anxiety. Delivered by an artist, the sessions are designed to help you finding the benefits of art, while also using it as a tool to distract yourself from your anxiety and immerse into the pleasure of art.
You will develop your understanding on how to look at art, develop a background into the world of art, how it functions and being involved in creating it and broaden both your knowledge and appreciation of the world of art.
The programme is open to both Anxiety UK members and non-members.
Priority will be given to those who commit to all six sessions although you will be able to book a single session if capacity exists. However, to fully benefit from the programme we do advise you to book for the full six-week programme.
The next group starts on Wednesday 29th September 2021 at 11am.
Anxiety UK reserves the right not to hold a group session in the event that the minimum booking number (8) is not achieved and in which case, programme participants will be informed. Once the maximum number of participants (15) is reached, your booking will be allocated to the next available course.
