Support for the Workplace

Supporting businesses, organisations and the education sector

Workplace mental health

In 2019/20 there were an estimated 828,000 workers affected by work-related stress, depression or anxiety. In 2019/20 work-related stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 51% of all work-related ill health and 55% of all days lost due to work-related ill-health. However, as an employer, it’s not just the financial cost to your business that you need to consider, but the impact on your employees and their perception of you as an employer. As a good employer, you’ll want to invest in your staff. And creating a mentally healthy workplace improves productivity, increases profit and brings out the best in everyone. People living with mental health difficulties can and do work – and supporting them can save you significant costs in terms of staff turnover, under-performance and untapped potential.
