Tools and tips to support you with your anxiety by improving your sleep patterns

About this Event

A survey recently undertaken by Anxiety UK, the UK’s leading anxiety charity, has revealed the extent of the country’s poor sleeping patterns. In this webinar we will be joined by Dr Kirsten Russell to explore ways to help you improve your sleep and rest.

About our guest speaker

Dr Kirsten Russell is a researcher with a keen interest in the causes and consequences of sleep disturbance across the lifespan. Kirsten completed her PhD in Psychology within the School of Psychological Sciences and Health, University of Strathclyde. This work focused on better understanding the link between symptoms of sleep disturbance and self-harm thoughts and behaviours during adolescence. Prior to this, Kirsten worked within the Sleep and Circadian Rhythm Research Group based with the University of Glasgow.

As well as conducting sleep research, Kirsten is passionate about knowledge exchange and public engagement around the importance of sleep for overall health and wellbeing. She has delivered workshops to a range of audiences including secondary school pupils, university students, healthcare professionals and the general public.
